Welcome to Florida

Florida Estate & Domicile Law - KCC PA

Hello all!  This is Kelly, a newly-licensed (as of 2011) attorney specializing in Florida estate & domicile law, including probate administration and real property.  I hope to be of service as you navigate the legal waters of Florida.

Florida Domicile Law

Florida is a great place to “domicile,” whether as a digital nomad / full-time RV traveller / boat house dweller, or as a retiree.  There are steps to establishing legal Florida residency, but KCC PA can make sure you comply, and are able to –

Enjoy the benefits of the generous attitude of the Sunshine State toward taxation (no income taxes! no estate taxes! no inheritance taxes! no local taxes!).  Florida also offers attractive primary residence protection (learn more about the trifecta of Florida Homestead protections in another (forthcoming…) post).

Florida Estate Law

[updated 2020]  Kelly specializes in summary estate administrations, but is well versed in formal administration, conservatorship, declaration of death, and ancillary estate administration.  She has experience in estate litigation, as well, and makes all effort to avoid any return to that arena.

In regard to estate planning, KCC PA handles the simpler side of things, focusing on wills, durable powers of attorney, healthcare surrogates, living wills, and similar.  KCC PA is always happy to investigate non-probate / outside estate methods of conveying property, including but not limited to all manner of deeds, establishment of joint and convenience bank accounts, joint ownership, and transfer on death or beneficiary designations.

KCC PA, in practice

KCC PA is a low-stress, low-overhead, high competency law practice.  Look for future articles explaining aspects of Florida probate & property law, and feel free to contact me with projects

I can help you save money, avoid future hassles for you and your family, and make sure that what you’ve worked for remains yours to enjoy. Thank you for visiting 🙂
